Discussion of ROM Flashing and Hardware Debugging (RF-DBG) is allowed on BeuChan
ROM sharing and discussion of community debuggers (PicoEASE, etc) are also allowed on BeuChan
However, it is still banned on the main Casio Calculator Hacking Discord server (CCHD)
Do NOT post links to or screenshots of RF-DBG related BeuChan threads/posts in the CCHD Discord server

Hello guys, just asking, does someone here have a patched fx-JP900CW emu ROM or a Real ROM? If yes I would like to know. Thanks (note: the photo is not mine, it's from the internet.)

 No.49

I do have a real ROM, but it's not mine. Most ROMs nowadays are held by private collectors, so it's quite hard to get a hold of them.

Hello everyone, just asking, since ROM sharing is allowed here, does anybody have a 570EX CY-234 VerF real ROM?

 No.18

I do (it's CY-235 fx-991EX, but the 2 models have pretty much identical ROMs), but the ROM's not mine, and I don't think its owner would be happy if I share it here.

If you take a look in an emulator ROM (the ROM that comes with Casio official emulators), you may find weird error strings, including strings like "SD Card is protected", "invarid Error" (sic), …

Why are they there?

Actually, it's part of Casio's custom emulator keyboard system; basically, yes, it's a debug feature. If you take a look at address 9838H (data segment depends on model type) you will see these get written there whenever there is an error.

this has been known for years

don't know if it has been mentioned a ton of times, but they left the port0 test code
